JSI Tip 7311. When you uninstall software from Windows 2000, you receive 'Not enough diskspace for selected components'?

When you attempt to uninstall a program, a tool, or operating system components, you receive:

Not enough diskspace for selected components.

When you perform an uninstall, SetupAPI backs up all of the files that are being removed, so they can be restored if the uninstall process encounters a problem.

NOTE: When the uninstall process finishes, the backup files are deleted.

To work around this problem, you must free up disk space. Try emptying the Recycle Bin, deleting files from the %TEMP% folder, remove Temporary Internet Files, etc...
