JSI Tip 7291. After installing Internet Explorer SP1, you can only use trusted documents to open documents in the My Computer zone?

Internet Explorer Service Pack 1 has changed security so that links on documents in an untrusted zone, or a JAVA applet showDocument function, cannot open a document in the My Computer zone.

The new security code prevents zone elevation, the ability to gain access to a more secure zone from a less secure zone.

If you must open a document in the My Computer zone from a document in the Internet zone, you will have to move that Internet site to the Trusted Sites zone.
