JSI Tip 6979. When you open a Windows 2000 Help file that uses HTML, links are not available or do not work?

When you open a HTML help file, links that previously worked exhibit some of the following behaviors:

- Some links are missing.
- Some links are displayed as a small box with a dot in the center.
- Some links do not take you to the help topic.

These behaviors may occur if you installed the following Microsoft Internet Explorer cumulative security patches:

818529 MS03-020: June, 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer.

813489 MS03-015: April, 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer.

810847 MS03-004: February, 2003, Cumulative Patch for Internet Explorer.

To fix this problem, install:

811630 HTML Help Update to Limit Functionality When It Is Invoked with the window.showHelp( ) Method

                                  OR

        Windows 2000 Service Pack 4.
