To allow Outlook Express to download more than the default number of newsgroup articles at one time:
1. Use the Registry Editor to navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\GUID\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\OE_Version\News, where GUID is a Globally Unique Identifier, and OE_Version is the version of Outlook Express installed on your system.
2. Double-click the Download at a time Value Name, a REG_DWORD data type, and set the data value to the number of newsgroup articles you wish to download, using the Decimal radix. Brian tested a data value of 3000 without any problems.
3. Logoff and log back on for this setting to become effective.
