When you start Internet Explorer 6.0 Setup by using the Autorun.inf on the CD-ROM, you receive:

Warning: The <title> bitmap has 8 bits per pixel, it must be changed to 4BPP (16 colors).
Your display settings are configured for 16 colors (4 bit). Internet Explorer 6.0 requires 256 colors (8 bit) or greater.
Changing display settings is installation dependent, but the following general procedure should help:
1. Control Panel / Display.
2. Select the Settings tab.
3. Toggle the Colors drop-down box to 256 Colors or higher.
4. Press Apply and OK.
5. In the Compatibility Warning dialog box, press Restart the computer with the new color setting and press OK.
6. Press Yes to restart your computer.
