JSI Tip 5768. How do I disable boot, logon, logoff, and shutdown status messages?

If you wish to disable the status messages that appear during boot, logon, logoff, and shutdown:

1. Copy /Paste the following to a nosm.reg file:

REGEDIT4

\[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\]
"DisableStatusMessages"=dword:00000001

2. Merge the nosm.reg file with the registry or run regedit /s nosm.reg.
