JSI Tip 5406. When you manage services on a remote computer, you receive an RPC error?

When you manage services on a remote Windows XP computer using the Services.msc snap-in, you receive:

Unable to open service control manager database on \\ComputerName.
Error 1722: The RPC server is unavailable.

This error will occur if File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks is NOT enabled on the remote computer.

NOTE: File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks is required for many remote management functions.
