JSI Tip 4447. IntelliMouse Explorer settings are lost when you re-dock your laptop?

When you undock your laptop, Windows unloads the IntelliMouse Explorer mouse driver and reverts to the laptop's internal pointing device.

When you re-dock the laptop, the computer's BIOS may not unload the internal pointing device driver.

The permanent fix is to ask the manufacturer for an updated BIOS flash.

The temporary fix is to restart the laptop after it is docked.
