JSI Tip 3936. A password with extended ASCII characters doesn't work in the Recovery Console?

If the local administrator account password contains an extended ASCII character, you may be unable to log onto the Recovery Console.

In order to use extended ASCII characters in the Recovery Console, you MUST enable NUM LOCK by pressing the NUM LOCK key.
