In tip3760, I described how to cause a batch file to beep for attention.

Tip 3760 works with and without a sound card in your computer.

If you have a sound card in your computer, you use a .WAV file:

%systemRoot%\Media\Tada.wav

NOTE: This will open your media player.

NOTE: A better solution is PlayWav.
