JSI Tip 3676. The Window 2000 Winmgmt process leaks memory when running Network Load Balancing (NLB)?

If you are running NLB on a Windows 2000 server, performance degrades over time, and you may receive an 'Out of Virtual Memory' error message.

If you happen to be using the Performance snap-in and tracking:

Object: Process
Instance: Winmgmt
Counter: Private Bytes

you will notice that Private Bytes is constantly increasing.

Microsoft is aware of the problem.

I will post a resolution once Microsoft fixes the problem.
