Sometimes, when you use a slipstream installation to perform an upgrade or install, the version information in the registry does NOT reflect the service pack.
The above condition can impact programs that require specific service pack versions.
To resolve the issue:
1. Use Regedt32 to navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion
2. Edit or Add Value name CSDVersion, a REG_SZ data type, and set the data value to Service Pack n, where n is the service pack number.
3. Exit Regedt32.
