JSI Tip 3404. Your computer re-hibernates too soon?

When your Windows 2000 computer wakes from hibernate mode, it may re-hibernate after five minutes of inactivity, even though you have a longer setting in Control Panel / Power Options?

When it wakes from hibernation, your computer's BIOS performs a full boot. This clears any wakeup signals that might have been active, causing Windows 2000 to loose track of why the computer woke up. In order to prevent battery drain, the computer returns to hibernation mode after five minutes of inactivity, in case a program or network adapter woke the computer, which is now sitting idle.
