JSI Tip 3321. Does Internet Explorer, on Windows 2000, open with blank pages and/or you have Add\Remove Program button corruption?

If you have installed a new Internet Explorer version or patch, and the subject conditions happen to you, it may be that the Internet Explorer installation never completed.

NOTE: You have used tip 3098, but the button corruption returns.

When you install Internet Explorer, it makes use of the RunOnceEx key functionality. If RunOnceEx has any Internet Explorer entries, the installation never completed. Change the Flags data value to 7C. Shutdown and restart your Windows 2000 computer.

When you log on, verify that the Internet Explorer entry in RunOnceEx has been removed.
