JSI Tip 3116. You cannot boot Windows 2000 after installing on PCMCIA SCSI drive?

If you install Windows 2000 to a PCMCIA SCSI drive, or on a drive in a docking station, your computer may not boot after the initial portion of Setup is complete.

No standard exists that allows booting from a PCMCIA device, even though some computers support this feature.

Windows 2000 supports installing on removable media, but not on PCMCIA AT disks.
