JSI Tip 2671. STOP 0x0000007B when installing Windows NT with an Intel Motherboard??

If you have an Intel 810e or 815 motherboard with 512 MB of memory, you may receive:

STOP 0x0000007B (0xF2813BD4, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

when installing Windows NT 4.0.

Windows NT 4.0 does not properly allocate resources for the floppy disk controller on these computers, unless Service Pack 4 or greater is installed.

To workaround this issue:

1. Install Windows NT 4.0 from the CD-ROM.

2. Install SP4 or greater.

3. After the restart, you can install 3rd party drivers from the floppy disk.

NOTE: You can also perform a network install with integrated 3rd party drivers, as explained in the Windows NT 4.0 Resource kits.
