The Windows 2000 Server products contains a new Server Manager, Srvmgr.exe, which can be used to add recipients to and remove recipients from the local Windows 2000 Alerter service.
You can also use Regedt32 to navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Alerter\Parameters
Double-click the AlertNames value name, a REG_MULTI_SZ data type, and add the computers and users you wish to receive administrative alerts, one per line.
Both the Alerter and Messenger service must be started.
