JSI Tip 2052. Don't install your earlier version of APC PowerChute on Windows 2000.

APC PowerChute is included in Windows 2000.

If you are going to upgrade to Windows 2000, you must first:

1. Uninstall PowerChute.

2. Disconnect the UPS communications cable.

After the upgrade, connect the cable.

To configure the UPS, use the UPS tab in Control Panel / Power Options.

If you want the full PowerChute Plus, install PowerChute Plus 2.5 for Windows 2000.
