JSI Tip 1848. 'Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools' entry is missing after uninstalling IE 5.01?

If you uninstall IE5.01, the Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools entry may be missing from Add/Remove Programs because the uninstall removed the previous uninstall entry..

To fix the problem, either re-install IE 5.0 or use the Internet Explorer Repair tool:

1. Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Install/Uninstall.

2. Select Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 / Add/Remove Programs.

3. Click Repair the current installation of Internet Explorer.

4. Press OK.

5. If you receive:

Internet Explorer 5 cannot be repaired. Please reinstall Internet Explorer 5.
click Details to see why, but re-install IE5.
