If the subject condition happens to your clients, they may also receive:
Cannot open volume for direct access
Try the following workaround:
Use Regedt32 to navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\rchelp
Double click the Start value name in the right hand pane and change the startup from 1 (System) to 2 (Automatic).
NOTE: This delays the service startup.
