JSI Tip 1082. Access denied in Windows NT Explorer, when attempting to delete a file.

If you have Full Control of a folder, you should be able to delete any file in it, even if the file is set to No Access or Delete (only).

Windows NT Explorer has a bug that prevents this, caused when it attempts to move the file to the Recycle Bin.

To work around the problem, perform any of the following actions:

- Add Read permission to the file.

- Use File Manager (WINFILE.EXE).

- Use the DEL command.

- Hold down the shift key to prevent the file from being moved to the Recycle Bin.
