JSI Tip 1049. Network errors with 3Com 3C590 NIC.

The 3Com 3C590 NIC has a problem with PCI busmastering, in any operating system.

To work around the problem, disable PCI busmastering. Use Regedt32 to navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EL59X1\Parameters

Add Value name Busmaster as a type REG_SZ entry and set the data string to no.

Shutdown and restart your computer.
