JSI Tip 0960. Can not lock/open volume for direct access?

This message is almost always caused by a third-party driver or service, such as an anti-virus or disk monitoring program.

Use Control Panel / Services and Control Panel / Devices to locate and disable any suspected third-party object.

NOTE: If you are unsure if it is safe to disable a third-party driver, create a test hardware profile:

1. Control Panel / System / Hardware Profile / Original Configuration / Copy and name it Test.

2. Disable the driver(s) and/or service(s) in the Test profile:

      Control Panel / Devices or Control Panel / Services.

      Highlight the object you wish to disable.

      Click HW Profiles / Test / Disable.

Boot to the Test hardware profile.
