JSI Tip 0870. Control Panel / Devices - Plug and Pray is not available.

If you get the subject message when opening the Devices applet in Control Panel, and/or the driver descriptions in the SCSI Adapters applet are incorrect , and/or the SCSI Adapters tool reports Error occurred getting driver list from inf file. Err=0, chances are your Plug and Play service is not started.

Use Control Panel / Services to browse to the Plug and Play service. If it is not started, click the Startup button and verify that Automatic startup is selected. Click the Start button and insure that the Status changes to Started. If it does not, check the System Event Log.
