Some applications install special registry Keys/Values and files used for viewing the entries that they post to the event logs. To view these logs remotely, these registry Keys/Values and files must be present on the remote machine.
Initlog.exe from the
can be used to copy the required registry entries and files to the remote computer.You can try it manually by browsing to your application sub-key under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog\Application
You can export this key using regedit and import it to the remote machine. You can inspect the .reg for the files you must also copy.
You will also need to check the registry permissions on the target machine using regedt32 and set these same permissions on the remote PC.
NOTE: The files used are service-pack specific, so you need to check or run Initlog.exe when you apply a new SP.
