A. Office 2000 requires 131 MB of free disk space on the boot drive (where %systemroot% resides) for installation to complete successfully. This is by design of the Windows Installer.
To be on the safe side make sure you have more than 131MB as other programs/processes may use up disk space such as dynamic page file growth giving you less than the needed 131MB.
