How do I stop a Windows 2000 Incoming Connection from answering?

A. Rather than delete the Incoming Connection object every time you want to stop it from answering another method is to disassociate it from all connection equipment such as PSTN/ISDN. To do this perform the following:

  1. Select the Incoming connection object (Start - Settings - Network and Dial-up Connections - Incoming connection)
  2. Select the General tab
  3. Uncheck all devices (or a specific one you wish to currently suspend)

  4. Click OK

When you wish to re-enable perform the above but check the devices instead of un-checking them.
