Disable personalized menus - 01 Nov 2007

The personalized menu feature drives most users crazy. Because you will typically use popup menus, toolbar buttons, and keyboard shortcuts for frequently used commands, you will generally only go to the menus for commands you don't use regularly. In such a scenario, it doesn't make a lot of sense if those commands are hidden.

We recommend that you disable personalized menus.
  1. Choose Tools → Customize.
  2. Click the Options tab.
  3. Select the option, Always show full menus.

    Customize dialog box

  4. Click Close.
This change will affect all Microsoft Office applications.
