Windows Intune Agent to Get an Update Starting on July 17th, 2013

Starting on July 17th, Microsoft will be pushing out an update to the WIEP agent to all Windows Intune users.

If you are using Windows Intune to manage endpoints in your organization, or as most do, to manage your family's computers, Microsoft wants you to know that there will be a Windows Intune Agent update starting to roll out on July 17th, 2013.  EMEA and APAC will get the first update, with North America following exactly 24 hours later on July 18th.

Microsoft states that the agent updates will not cause any downtime for Windows Intune, but that the managed computers may require an update after it is applied.

The update being pushed out is a new Windows Intune Endpoint Protection (WIEP) agent, to ensure that agented computers are fully protected against any malware threats in the future.
