Nvidia Confirms a Surface RT 2 is on the Way

Despite reports that companies like ASUS are jumping the rails to get away from Windows RT, Nvidia still believes in the semi-hampered version of Windows 8. But, who can blame Nvidia for attempting to save face since they provided the processor for the original Surface RT. In an article on CNET, Nvidia's CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang attempts to suggest that the Surface RT's downfall was not their ARM-based processor, but instead was the lack of Microsoft Outlook. What was that old grade school adage? "When you point at someone (or, something), you have three fingers pointing back at you."

Huang says that with version 2 of the Surface RT, Nvidia is going to "bring it." They better. That's all I can say. I still stand by my belief that the Surface RT is a better overall unit than the Surface Pro (read about that here: Surface Pro vs. Surface RT: An honest comparison), however, the processor speed was one of my biggest complaints. Any Surface 2 unit, whether RT or Pro, needs battery life and speed. In essence, take the best of both and create one solid device. I'm just not sure Nvidia should be part of that.
