Xbox One as a Small Business Server?

Could the Xbox One bring immediate value to your boardroom?

Just a couple weeks ago in Is there an Xbox One in Your Private Cloud's Future? I surmised a future where the Xbox One, or one of its successors, could actually provide a turnkey solution for a Private or Hybrid Cloud implementation. One reader's comment suggested that the idea "…is rather silly" and went on to say "I sincerely hope you guys are wrong about this." Truthfully, I still don't see this as farfetched – but I could be wrong.

However, it looks like there may be others who are already jumping on the bandwagon and envisioning an Xbox as a key business device, particularly in the boardroom.  Marques Lyons, Microsoft Xbox MVP and the Director of Consumer Camp, has posted up an article describing some features of the Xbox One that would bring immediate value and cost savings to a small business. Marques walks through the list and explains how each feature could be utilized. He talks about things like Skype for video conferencing, SkyDrive for collaboration, Wi-Fi Direct, SmartGlass, and Kinect for boardroom presentations, and Office 365 and Internet Explorer for everything else.

Take a read through the post and let me know what you think:  Believe it or not, Xbox is taking care of business
