A. Before you add a tape drive, you need to ensure that the correct SCSI driver is loaded for the card the tape drive is connected to. Then, perform the following steps.
- Start the Control Panel Tape Devices applet. (From the Start menu, select Settings, Control Panel, Tape Devices.)
- Click Detect for Windows NT to detect your tape drive. If this step is successful, go to Step 5.
- If you don’t detect the drive, select the Drivers tab.
- Click Add and select your tape drive from the list, or click Have Disk and select the driver’s location.
- Click OK.
- Restart the computer.
