Organizations are rapidly recognizing that their traditional approaches to information retrieval are limited when their data must be organized into structured tables in a relational database management system. With exploding data variety and velocity, it is critical to embrace technologies that augment the constrained RDBMS perspective.
Join IT Pro Today contributor, David Loshin as he talks about the current conventional wisdom on architectural approaches to democratizing information retrieval beyond the constraints of SQL and discusses the need for more flexible, yet performant means of search and retrieve.
You’ll also learn more about a powerful option -- Elasticsearch. In its current form, it's also non-trivial and rather expensive to deploy. Fortunately, innovations like serverless and microservices are eliminating these barriers, lowering up-front costs and reducing complexity. In this session, you’ll discover a new, serverless platform which brings the “elastic” back to Elasticsearch - enabling enterprises to deploy instantly, eliminate complexity and reduce costs to achieve better time to value with better-informed, data-driven decisions.
