Ultera Signs Australian Distributor Tape-array controller and system supplier Ultera Systems signed an agreement with e-DataGroup Pty Ltd. to market Ultera products through its distribution company Digital Tape Solutions (DTS), distributor of tape drives and autoloader/library systems in Australia. DTS will supply its resellers with Ultera’s full line of tape-array solutions and products from other data storage manufacturers, including Quantum, Tandberg Data, Benchmark, Overland, Exabyte, and Ecrix. “DTS has long been a premier source in Australia for drives and automated solutions,” says Fred Bedard, Ultera Systems vice president of sales and marketing. “DTS provides the channel with the best pre- and post-sales support, and their position in Australia makes them an ideal partner to distribute Ultera-based tape array solutions.” DTS is handling Ultera’s entire tape controller line, including Striper Series, LibraryMaster Series, Imager Series, and ShadowMaster Series.
