For the third consecutive year, Hummingbird Communications' PC DOCS/Fulcrum won a Microsoft Industry Solution Award. Placing first in the best publish and search solution category, the Web-based knowledge management application was installed at the European Court of Human Rights and Directorate of Human Rights. PC DOCS/Fulcrum worked with the court to build HUDOC, a Web-based knowledge management solution based on DOCSFulcrum software. HUDOC serves as a central document repository for human rights services and a portal to all decisions and judgments made by the Court. The site was created for the Council of Europe's 41 states, but is publicly accessible at no charge to end users (http://www.dhcour.coe.fr/hudoc). ". the court is exploiting the Internet to give our member states and the rest of the world gateway access to all case law of the European Court of Human Rights and related human rights documents. . We believe this knowledge base can contribute to the further protection of human rights," says John Hunter, European Court of Human Rights IT specialist.
