When you attempt to backup a Windows XP SP2 computer from another computer running Computer Associates BrightStor ARCServe Backup 9.0 Manager, you receive:
Network path not found.
This behavior occurs because the Windows XP SP2 computer has Windows Firewall, formerly ICF (Internet Connection Firewall) enabled.
To workaround this issue:
01. Start / Run / Firewall.cpl / OK.
02. In Windows Firewall, select the Exceptions tab.
03. Press the Add Program button.
04. Use the Browse button to locate Casdscsvc.exe.
05. Select Casdscsvc.exe and press Open.
06. Use the Browse button to locate Univagent.exe.
07. Select Univagent.exe and press Open.
08. Press OK.
09. On the Exceptions tab, check the Casdscsvc.exe and Univagent.exe boxes.
10. Press OK.
