David Strain

David Scott Strain is the Vice President of ShuffleLabs, a company specializing in Microsoft development, custom SharePoint solutions, Business Intelligence solutions, association management systems (AMS) development and support, and custom mobile apps.  He is also an author and consultant with more than twenty years’ experience in helping to define business-driven IT strategies, in achieving business-serving ones.  His book,  I.T. WARS: Managing the Business-Technology Weave in the New Millennium (publishing as David Scott) became an MBA-text that has been utilized at more than 40 universities worldwide.  The book and this blog define a new business-IT culture – The Business-Technology Weave (BTW).  This culture helps to close divides, direct purpose, and achieve results, through new and needed best-practice principles.  The BTW is a first, holistic, treatment for the business-technology paradigm, defining the modern relationship between people, business, and technology.  Mr. Strain has helped to emplace, restore, and grow operational IT-business success in several global Fortune 500® companies in leading areas of public relations, patient care, laboratory accreditation, direct-mail marketing, telecommunications, and food safety.  In addition, he has assisted several association/non-profit organizations in their contribution of human and environmental services, and has led IT efforts for several government agencies, to include areas of military intelligence, military training, and business transformation (Pentagon).  Mr. Strain is also a professional speaker, and has helped institute the philosophy and principles of The Business-Technology Weave in a variety of environments for optimal business returns.
