I’m traveling to New York City in the morning for the Windows 8 launch event. But Mary Jo Foley and I are co-hosting a meet-up that evening, and then we’ll be heading over to Times Square for the only midnight Microsoft Store opening in the US. Up for a little midnight madness? Meet me in New York!
Here are the details.
Mary Jo and I will be attending the Windows 8 launch event from 10 am through 3 pm tomorrow, on Thursday, October 25, 2012. From 4 pm until about 5:30 or so, we’ll be at the CNET studios in NYC to record Windows Weekly. (Normally we record at 2 pm on Thursday, but we’ve rescheduled to accommodate the launch event.)
Our meet-up begins at 6:30 pm. Here are the logistics:

When: 6:30 to 9 pm
Why: Why? Why?! To hang out and talk Windows 8/RT, that’s why!
What: We’ll have some giveaways including, hopefully, a ton of Windows 8 Secrets books that I can sign.
After the event, we’ll be heading over to the pop-up Microsoft Store in Times Square for the midnight madness festivities, which start officially at 10:00 pm. (I assume this involves standing in line, assuming you need to buy Windows 8 and/or a Surface with Windows RT immediately.)
