Microsoft Ignite: Keynote Viewing Options and Bringing the Value Back to Work

Microsoft Ignite: Keynote Viewing Options and Bringing the Value Back to Work

We have arrived at the point when some people are already traveling towards Atlanta for next week's Microsoft Ignite conference or are in the final stages preparing for their trip.

On Monday, to kick off the conference, Microsoft will have two keynotes. One will be at 9 AM Eastern Time and will be hosted by Scott Guthrie, Microsoft's Executive Vice President for Microsoft's Cloud and Enterprise Group. According to the description he will be joined by others to talk about digital transformation.

"Technology continues to rapidly evolve, offering us new ways of working and powering digital transformation for all organizations. Key to our ability to harness technology is our ability to evolve with it, to harness new capabilities and learn new skills. Join Scott Guthrie, Executive Vice President, Microsoft; on Monday morning to start Microsoft Ignite. Scott will focus on how technology enables digital transformation and, along with guests, demonstrate new technologies. He will also discuss how IT is transforming and detail investments and programs to help enable this."

Then, on Monday afternoon at 4 PM Eastern Time, the Innovation Keynote will take place with Satya Nadella as the primary speaker.

"Satya Nadella will close the first day of Microsoft Ignite with a must-see presentation, focused on next generation innovations and investments that are fundamental to shaping IT in the foreseeable future. He will discuss emerging trends and how you can prepare to take advantage of them in your organization today."

Both of these keynotes can be viewed in a few different ways depending on if you are onsite or remote.

Patch and Switch explain those keynote viewing options in this short video:

Next is the subject of bringing back the value of attending Microsoft Ignite to your company and co-workers.

Since a lot of money has likely been invested for your attendance it is critical that you bring that value back.

Check out this second video today from Patch and Switch about doing just that:

The wait is almost over so be sure to keep an eye on our Ignite coverage both on ITPro: Windows and SuperSite: Windows.

I served for 29 plus years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Master Chief Petty Officer in November 2011. My work background in the Navy was telecommunications related so my hobby of computers fit well with what I did for the Navy. I consider myself a tech geek and enjoy most things in that arena.

My first website – AnotherWin95.com – came online in 1995. Back then I used GeoCities Web Hosting for it and WindowsObserver.com is the result of the work I have done on that site since 1995.

In January 2010 my community contributions were recognized by Microsoft when I received my first Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award for the Windows Operating System. Since then I have been renewed as a Microsoft MVP each subsequent year since that initial award. I am also a member of the inaugural group of Windows Insider MVPs which began in 2016.

I previously hosted the Observed Tech PODCAST for 10 years and 317 episodes and now host a new podcast called Faith, Tech, and Space.

I began contributing to Penton Technology websites in January 2015 and in April 2017 I was hired as the Senior Content Producer for Penton Technology which is now Informa Tech. In that role, I contribute to ITPro Today and cover operating systems, enterprise technology, and productivity.
