Microsoft Adds RSS Support to IE 7.0, Longhorn

In its latest bid to essentially ape every single feature in Macintosh OS X 10.4 "Tiger," Microsoft announced last week that it would be adding support for a Web site subscription technology called Real Simple Syndication (RSS) to Internet Explorer (IE) 7.0, which is due in beta form this summer. IE 7.0's RSS support closely mimics the way Apple's Safari Web browser handles RSS, which shouldn't surprise Mac supporters. However, in Longhorn, Microsoft will take RSS support much further with integrated APIs that will let developers access RSS feeds from any application running under Longhorn. Nice
