JSI Tip 9754. Your Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 domain member does not keep accurate time?

I explained how all client computers and member servers nominate the authenticating domain controller as their in-bound time partner, so domain members should have accurate time.

If you Windows XP or Windows Server 2003 domain member does not keep accurate time, and you know it is not a hardware problem, try the following procedure on the faulty client:

1. Run the following FixTime.bat file with administrative privileges:

@echo on
net stop w32time
w32tm /unregister
w32tm /register
net start w32time
2. Shutdown and restart your client computer.
