JSI Tip 7934. You receive 'The permissions for this GPO in the SYSVOL folder are inconsistent with those in Active Directory' when you try to view a <B>GPO</B> on Windows Server 2003 joined to a Windows 2000 domain?

In Knowledge Base article 814338 - 'The permissions for this GPO in the SYSVOL folder are inconsistent with those in Active Directory' error message when you try to view a GPO in Windows Server 2003, Microsoft fails to offer any suggested fixes.

You may be able to workaround this problem by removing the inheritance attribute on the SYSVOL folder, and resetting the ACLs on the GPO (Group Policy Object).
