JSI Tip 6865. Windows Media Player version 7 and later does not initially report proper duration?

Starting with version 7, when you manually open a file, Windows Media Player does not read the file header to determine duration.

Only after the file starts playing, is the duration properly reported.

This design change was implemented to improve performance.
