JSI Tip 4945. Windows 2000 printing to a LPT printer port uses 100 Percent CPU?

When you print to a LPT printer port, the CPU usage goes to 100 percent until the job is finished?

Windows 2000 does not have interrupt support for LPT printers.

The only way around this issue is to print to a USB printer port. If your printer does not have a USB connection, use a parallel-USB cable.
