You must use a computer (that meets the requirements that are listed on the appropriate Hardware Compatibility List) on which Windows 2000 Server and Microsoft File and Print Services for NetWare are installed.back to the top
How to Configure a Local User Account to Log On to Windows 2000 Server from a NetWare Client
To configure a local user account to log on to a Windows 2000 Server-based computer from a NetWare client:- Right-click My Computer , and then click Manage .
- In the Computer Management dialog box, click the plus sign (+) next to Local Users and Groups , and then click Users .
- In the right pane, double-click the user account that you want to configure.

NetWare Services
. Select the
Maintain NetWare compatible login
check box.
If you want the user's NetWare password to expire after all of the user's grace logons are used, select the NetWare compatible password expired check box.
If you want to create or edit the user account's NetWare logon script, click Edit Login Script .
Configure the appropriate options for Grace logins and Concurrent connections .
If you want to configure a relative path for the NetWare home folder, type the path in the NetWare Home Directory Relative Path box. By default, the path that you type is relative to the folder that is shared as the SYS: volume for the File and Print Services for NetWare server. You can change the relative root path by using the FPNW tool in Control Panel.
Click OK . - In the Set Password for User_name dialog box, type in the New Password box the password that the account will use when the user connects to the server from a NetWare client. In the Confirm Password box, type the password again, and then click OK .
- When you are finished configuring user accounts, close the Computer Management window.
