After the first restart, you receive:
STOP 0x000000ED UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME.
Your original operating system still works correctly.
The error is generally the result of:
1. Using an Ultra Direct Memory Access (UDMA) controller with a 40-wire cable, instead of the required 80-wire, 40-pin cable.
2. The system BIOS is set to force the faster UDMA modes.
NOTE: During a restart, the BIOS may report this condition, but it occurs too fast to see.
To fix the problem, replace the cable.
