JSI Tip 3089. Windows 2000 Task Manager incorrectly reports memory?

If the amount of physical memory in your computer is 1 GB or more, the MEM Usage meter on the Performance tab of Task Manager is incorrect, as it only displays the low order 6 digits AND the meter reflects those 6 digits divided by the total amount of memory in the computer.

If the amount of physical memory in your computer is 10 GB or more, only the low order 7 digits are reported under Physical Memory (K).

If the amount of physical memory in your computer is 1 GB or more, use System Monitor (Permon.exe) to track memory usage and system statistics.
