JSI Tip 2958. The Add Printer Wizard in Windows NT 4.0 is not available?

When you open My Computer and attempt to use the Add Printer Wizard, it is not available.

If the Spooler service is NOT running under the System account, this behavior will happen.

To fix the problem:

1. Control Panel / Services.

2. Select the Spooler service.

3. Press Startup.

4. Select the System Account in the Log On As section.

5. Check the Allow Service to Interact with Desktop box.

6. Press OK.

7. Exit Control Panel.

8. Shutdown and restart your computer.
