JSI Tip 2114. How do I implement local security auditing in Windows 2000?

Using an administrative account:

1. Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Local Security Policy / Audit Policy.

2. In the right hand pane, double-click each policy that you want to alter.

3. Check the Success and/or Fail boxes.

NOTE: If your computer is in a domain, domain policies take precedence, if defined.

NOTE: Enlarge the size of the Security event log.
