JSI Tip 1022. How do I browse my home (non-networked) computer from RAS?

By default, a non-networked Windows NT Workstation has browsing disabled.

To enable browsing on your non-networked Windows NT Workstation:

1. Select Entire Network in Control Panel/Network/Services/Remote Access Service/Configure/Advanced.

2. Control Panel/Network/Adapter/Add and install the Microsoft Loopback driver.

3. Configure the workstations as a member of the domain or workgroup that you are calling from (tip 197).

4. Make sure the Browser is set to start automatically in Control Panel Services.

NOTE: Your Network will only be functional when your are connected via RAS.
